Matthew Homer

Matthew Homer is the Founder and General Partner of The Venture Dept., a fund focused on new financial systems. Previously, they served as the Executive Deputy Superintendent for Research & Innovation at the New York State Department of Financial Services and held the position of Head of Policy & Research at Quovo prior to its acquisition by Plaid. Matthew also contributed as a Policy Analyst at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and The Century Foundation. Currently, they are a Board Member at both Standard Custody and Gemini Trust Company, while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies, alongside a Master of Public Policy at Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.
