David Schnell

David Schnell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. David began their career as an Operations Analyst at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in 1998 and later served as a Congressional Fellow in the US Congress from 1999 to 2001. In 2001, they became the Commanding Officer at Helicopter Training Squadron 18, where they led a team of flight instructors and employees in meeting training requirements for 300 student pilots, earning various performance and safety awards.

From 2004 to 2007, David served as the Chief of Staff-Plans at NATO, followed by being the Commanding Officer at Naval Station Great Lakes from 2007 to 2009. During their tenure, they managed a large staff and oversaw the operational and logistical support for thousands of personnel. David was also responsible for the execution of a significant budget.

David's responsibilities expanded further when they became an Assistant Professor at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy from 2009 to 2012. In this role, they contributed to the education and development of future national security leaders.

David Schnell received their education from various institutions. David'seducation history started in 1975 when they attended Northeastern Clinton Central High School, where they pursued General Studies until 1979. Following this, they joined the State University of New York College at Potsdam from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Later, they attended the Naval Postgraduate School from 1992 to 1994, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in National Security Affairs.

In addition to their formal education, David Schnell also obtained several certifications. In 1985, they received a Commercial Aircraft Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration. In 1994, they obtained a Total Quality Leadership certification from the US Navy. Finally, in 2008, they completed a Lean Six Sigma Champion Certification program at WBB Consulting.
