Kevin May has over 17 years of professional experience. In 2004, they began working as an Executive Vice President at Janmedia Interactive, Inc. In 2003, they were an eDiscovery Consultant at Navigant Consulting, Inc., where they provided oversight and quality control of the eDiscovery process for AOL's legal defense team. In 2009, they became the Founder and President of Brothers May, Inc. In 2010, they were an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship and the Assistant Director of the GW New Venture Competition at George Washington University. In 2011, they became the Co-Founder of GenB, Inc., an elite team of digital product development and enterprise IT infrastructure experts. In 2021, they began working as an Assistant Professor of Technology, Innovation & Strategic Management at The Busch School of Business.

Kevin May obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from William & Mary in the field of Operations & Information Technology. Kevin then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from The George Washington University in Management & Entrepreneurship. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) from George Mason University in Electronic Commerce. In 2021, they obtained a Marketplace Online Teaching Certificate from Marketplace Simulations - Innovative Learning Solutions, Inc.
