Dean Smart, MEng, is an accomplished developer with extensive experience in the automotive and engineering sectors. Currently, Dean serves as a Developer at BlueFinch since November 2024 and at GENE since May 2021. Prior roles include Developer positions at Goram & Vincent and Dyson, where responsibilities included leading initiatives for vehicle exterior optical quality and influencing design decisions. Dean also held a Design Engineer role at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, overseeing significant projects from concept to production, as well as a CAD Design Engineer Internship in body mechanisms. Earlier experience includes a Project Engineer role at Herbert Industrial Ltd during an industrial placement. Dean holds a Master of Engineering in Automotive Engineering with Motorsport from the University of Hertfordshire and has additional qualifications in software development and body engineering principles.
