Devon Ryan serves as the Head of Scientific Consulting at Genedata since March 2020, focusing on biosafety solutions, including adventitious agent detection and product integrity testing, while collaborating with clients in pharma, agribusiness, and industrial biotech to develop GMP-ready NGS-based bioinformatic solutions. Previously, Ryan worked as a Scientific Account Manager at the Max-Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics and held a position as a Bioinformatician/Data Manager. Earlier experience includes a post-doctoral role at DZNE studying neurodegenerative disorders, development and maintenance of a university marketplace platform, and research associate positions at the University of Chicago and UCSF, culminating in a PhD in Neuroscience from UCSF and a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Neuroscience from the University of Chicago.
