Sameer Chavan

Sameer Chavan is a Senior Bioinformatician at GeneDx, where they focus on building impactful software and pipelines to enhance health outcomes and promote precision medicine. Sameer previously served as a Data Scientist at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, applying bioinformatics methods for personalized medicine and collaborating globally in population genetics. They began their career as a Research Student at the National Institute of Virology and gained substantial experience at Johns Hopkins Medicine, where they developed bioinformatics pipelines for complex diseases. Sameer holds an MS in Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University and a BTech in Bioinformatics from Dr. D.Y. Patil University.
