Nitsan Lugassi has a strong background in research and development, with experience in various scientific roles. In 2012, Lugassi joined Ben Gurion University as a Ph.D student and worked there until 2012. Following that, Lugassi served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at ARO, Volcani Center from 2013 to 2017. Lugassi then transitioned to the Agricultural Research Organization, The Volcani Center, where they worked as a Researcher starting in 2017. Currently, Lugassi is a part of GeneNeer LTD as an R&D Manager, a role they began in September 2020.
Nitsan Lugassi obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Plant Molecular Biology at the same institution from 2004 to 2006. Lastly, Nitsan Lugassi completed their education journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Molecular Biology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2006 to 2012.
