Alejandro Chibly

Alejandro Chibly is a Principal Scientist in Bioinformatics at Genentech since March 2021, having previously served as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist. Prior to this, Chibly worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research from October 2016 to March 2021, where expertise included developing custom pipelines for NGS data analysis and leading a team in creating a significant NGS atlas of salivary gland development. Earlier experience includes obtaining a PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Arizona, where four peer-reviewed publications were authored on radiation-induced xerostomia, alongside research contributions that resulted in multiple co-author publications while supporting various projects. Chibly holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez.
