Andrew Erdman

Vice President, Global Head of Early Development Safety

Andrew Erdman has an extensive background in medicine and drug safety, beginning with an MD from the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, after earning a BS in Kinesiology from UCLA. Andrew completed an internship in General Surgery at St Joseph Hospital and a residency in Emergency Medicine at Denver Health Medical Center. A Medical Toxicology Fellowship was obtained at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center. Andrew's career includes significant roles at Genentech, serving as Vice President and Global Head of Early Development Safety, and previous positions as Senior Drug Safety Physician and Group Head. Experience also includes a tenure as Global Safety Medical Director at Amgen and Global Drug Safety Physician at Astra Zeneca in the UK. Postdoctoral training in Clinical Pharmacology was conducted at the University of California, San Francisco.
