Andrew Ng

Principal Scientist, Advanced Cell Engineering at Genentech

Andrew Ng is an accomplished scientist in the field of advanced cell engineering, currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Genentech since February 2023. Prior to this role, Andrew held positions at Outpace Bio as Associate Director and Senior Scientist from March 2021 to February 2023, and as a Cell Design Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco from July 2019 to March 2021, where research focused on developing biological systems for targeted protein degradation and engineering therapeutic T cells. Andrew's earlier experience includes a Graduate Student Researcher role at the University of California, San Francisco, where innovative protein switches for feedback circuits were developed, and research assistant positions at Washington University in St. Louis and the California Institute of Technology. Andrew holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
