Asmita Pant

Asmita Pant is a pharmacologist currently serving as a Senior Scientist in the Metabolic Drug Discovery Unit at Genentech since 2024. Previously, Asmita held roles at Carmot Therapeutics, Inc. as a Scientist II, and the University of Michigan Medical School as a Senior Research Area Specialist, where research focused on metabolic diseases. Asmita's early career included positions as a Laboratory Instructor at Himalayan Whitehouse International College and a Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University, where significant contributions to studies on liver health were made. Asmita holds a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Public Health Practice from Wayne State University, and an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from Kathmandu University.
