Benjamin Chu is currently a Principal Scientist at Genentech, where they focus on statistical and mathematical methods for human genetics and genomics, as well as optimization and scientific computing. Previously, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University under the guidance of Chiara Sabatti. Benjamin began their academic career at Academia Sinica as a Research Assistant in Carmay Lim's lab from 2014 to 2016, after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Biomathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
