Camil Diaz holds a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Delaware and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University. They have served as a Principal Scientist at Genentech, where they focused on cell culture and bioprocess operations. Their previous experience includes being a U.S. Fulbright Fellow at the International Rice Research Institute, where they engineered iron-fortified rice to combat malnutrition. Camil has also worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford, investigating plant-microbe interactions related to human health. They are passionate about data-driven decision-making and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM.
