Chan Gao

Chan Gao, PhD, is a Principal Scientist at Genentech, specializing in immuno-oncology and drug discovery. With extensive experience in developing in vivo animal models and investigating immune function in cancer, Chan has previously held notable positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Apollomics, where they led Immuno-Oncology programs and managed research teams. Chan's academic background includes a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Tsinghua University, complemented by postdoctoral fellowships at the City of Hope National Cancer Institute and the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation.
