Christopher Valek

Christopher Valek graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and a minor in Psychology. Currently serving as the Principal Human Factors Engineer at Genentech, they have extensive experience in Human Factors Engineering within the medical device industry, focusing on user research, design critiques, and usability testing. Previously, Christopher held roles including Human Factors Specialist and Senior Human Factors Specialist at UL Solutions, where they led usability testing and mentored junior colleagues. Their diverse background in engineering and psychology allows them to approach design challenges with critical and empathetic thinking.
