Derek Inouye

Derek Inouye is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in reliability engineering, maintenance management, and project engineering across prominent companies such as Genentech, Chevron, and Edison International. At Chevron, Inouye led a multi-disciplinary team as the Reliability Centered Maintenance Team Lead and was recognized for participation in the corporate-wide Emerging Leaders Program. In the current role at Genentech as Head of Process Maintenance, Inouye oversees maintenance planning and leads a team supporting drug substance manufacturing. With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, Inouye has demonstrated strong leadership in developing reliability metrics, managing projects, and fostering diversity and inclusion initiatives within technical teams.
