Eleonore Tham, PhD, is currently a Principal Scientist and Group Lead at Sana Biotechnology, Inc., focusing on safety switches and leading a team of scientists. With extensive experience in pluripotent stem cell culture, gene editing, and molecular biology techniques, Eleonore has been instrumental in developing Sana's first safety switch for clinical programs and optimizing lentiviral constructs for CAR-T development. Prior to this, Eleonore worked at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub as a Scientist I, leading research in gene therapy and genome engineering. Eleonore holds a PhD in Synthetic Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and possesses a robust educational background in engineering and biotechnology. Previous roles also include internships and research positions in drug metabolism and device fabrication.
