Emel Esen is a Senior Principal Scientist in Translational Medicine with extensive experience in innate and adaptive immunity, cancer immunology, and immunometabolism. From 2019 to 2021, Emel worked as a Senior Scientist at Pfizer-Centers for Therapeutic Innovation and then as a Senior Scientist in Oncology Biomarker Development at Genentech from 2021 to 2022. Emel has also held roles as a Principal Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow, where significant contributions included novel kinase identification and pre-clinical studies to evaluate new immuno-oncology targets. Emel earned a Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Bilkent University.
