Ernst Pitting

Ernst Pitting, Pharm.D., M.S., has extensive experience as a Senior Medical Science Liaison at Genentech since July 2008, where a strong background in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and clinical pharmacy facilitates collaboration across various pharmaceutical departments. Key responsibilities include providing Medical Affairs support for the bitopertin clinical development program targeting schizophrenia and related disorders, as well as support for other neuroscience compounds. Previously, Pitting served as a Medical Science Liaison for virology/hepatology, focusing on Pegasys for hepatitis treatment, and in gastroenterology at Proctor & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, supporting Asacol and Actonel. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Shenandoah University and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
