Flor (Alicia) Gowans is a Molecular Toxicology PhD graduate from UC Berkeley, where they focused on the mechanism of action of Ophiobolin A and the identification of oncogenic transcription factor degraders. With over 10 years of combined academic and industry experience, they developed medium- to high-throughput assays and performed various biology techniques. Currently serving as a Sr. Scientist at Genentech, they are finalizing revision experiments for an upcoming publication. Additionally, they have contributed to projects in reproductive endocrinology, vaccine development, and predictive toxicology.
