Frances Ding is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in machine learning and algorithmic fairness. Starting as a Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University in 2012, Frances later contributed as a Research Fellow at Harvard University, focusing on addressing bias in data through machine learning. Other notable roles include serving as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard's John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, a Trader at Jane Street, and an AI Resident at Google X. Currently, Frances is a Machine Learning Scientist at Genentech. Frances holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Computer Science from Harvard University and is pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning at the University of California, Berkeley.
