Francesca Anson, PhD, is a curious and creative biochemist currently serving as a Scientist III at Genentech, focusing on early discovery biochemistry. They held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Rockefeller University and a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where they completed their PhD in Chemistry. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Scientist at nanoComposix and a Synthesis Chemist at COLR™ Technology, where they worked on optimizing synthesis and applications of magnetite colloidal nanocrystal clusters. Francesca began their academic journey at the University of California, Riverside, obtaining a BA in Chemistry and contributing to early research efforts in nanocrystals.
