Hans Purkey is a Senior Director and Senior Principal Scientist in Computational Drug Discovery at Genentech, a position held since 2021. Previously, they served as a Principal Scientist and held several senior roles at Genentech from 2008 to 2016, as well as working as a Senior Scientist at Theravance Biopharma US, Inc. in 2007, and as a Staff Scientist at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals from 2005 to 2007. Hans earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College in 1996 and a Ph.D. in Macromolecular and Cellular Structure and Chemistry from Scripps Research in 2002.
