Jayme Franklin

Jayme Franklin is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry, currently serving as the Executive Director of Purification Development, Virology, and Microbiology at Genentech since October 2004. Franklin has held various leadership and technical roles at Genentech, including Sr. Director of Biological Technologies in Analytical Development Quality Control and Director of US Global MSAT Drug Substance Technical Leaders. Prior to Genentech, Franklin was a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Santa Barbara, focusing on biosynthesis in marine bacteria, and a Doctoral Graduate Researcher, where work involved studying halogenated enzyme purification. Early career experience includes a Teaching Associate role at Westmont College and a Research Associate position at UC Davis. Educational accomplishments include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara and a B.S. in Chemistry from Westmont College.
