Joseph Callahan

Joseph Callahan is a dedicated scientist with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. As Principal Technical Development Scientist at Genentech from October 2013 to October 2021, Joseph contributed significantly to technical development initiatives. Prior to this, Joseph worked at the University of California, San Francisco, from September 2006 to September 2013, focusing on cell death and disease mechanisms as a Graduate Student Researcher while also holding positions in technical and quality control roles. Joseph began a career in bioassay development at PDL Biopharma, performing essential assays to assess humanized antibody potency from January 2005 to June 2006, following an internship at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics in summer 2002. Joseph holds a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology with a focus on Immunology from the University of California, Berkeley.
