Joseph Hrdlicka

Joseph Hrdlicka is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public policy, advocacy, and marketing. Currently serving as Senior Manager of State Government Affairs at Genentech since October 2018, Hrdlicka manages public policy initiatives across a seven-state region. Hrdlicka also holds the position of Executive Director at the Iowa Biotechnology Association (IowaBio) since March 2014, leading a 110-member organization in the biotech sector. Previous roles include Vice President of Public Affairs at Iowa Communications Alliance and Vice President of Marketing at the Iowa Lottery, where significant achievements included advocating for rural telecommunications providers. Hrdlicka's career began in public relations, directing strategies for major accounts at Strategic America. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in American/U.S. Law from Drake University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
