Julia Co

Julia Co is a Senior Principal Scientist at Genentech with expertise in mucosal and epithelial cell biology, microbiology, and bacterial pathogenesis. They previously served as a Principal Scientist at Genentech, a Scientist at Geltor Inc., and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University, where they developed novel human intestinal organoid models. Julia has also contributed to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Graduate Student Researcher, focusing on the interaction between mucins and bacteria. They hold a PhD in Microbiology from MIT and a BS in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from UCLA.
