Justin Elstrott

Justin Elstrott is a seasoned professional in biomedical imaging, currently serving as the Director of the Preclinical Imaging group within the Department of Translational Imaging at Genentech since August 2013. With a focus on advancing preclinical imaging techniques, Justin leads the Optical and Ultrasound Imaging lab and applies various imaging methodologies to develop translatable biomarkers for human studies. Prior to this role, Justin co-founded two programs at UC Berkeley aimed at equipping scientists with entrepreneurial skills and facilitating industry connections. Justin's academic background includes a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from UC San Diego and dual undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from Tulane University.
