Kenneth Gao

Kenneth Gao is a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Genentech, where they focus on applying machine learning in biology and medicine. With a strong background in bioengineering, Kenneth completed a PhD at both the University of California, San Francisco and the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in computer vision for medical imaging. Prior to their current role, Kenneth was a graduate student researcher at UCSF, developing machine learning models for musculoskeletal conditions, and served as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator, managing clinical trials and regulatory submissions. In addition to their experience at Genentech, Kenneth also held a position as a Machine Learning Scientist at Altos Labs.
