Technical Development Scientist

Kyle Spitler possesses a diverse background in biological research and technical development, with experience spanning several prestigious institutions. As an NSF REU Intern at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment Marine Labs, Kyle studied the impact of plastics on the gut microbiome of Oryzias latipes. At the University of California, San Francisco, Kyle served as a Research Specialist and Project Manager, focusing on drug metabolism and metabolomics, and developing microbial culture methodologies. In subsequent roles at Genentech, Kyle advanced software solutions for lab workflows and qualified analytical methods critical for regulatory approvals. Initial experiences include a Research and Development internship at Floragraph Inc. and various roles at Santa Clara University, including Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Biology - Biotechnology from Santa Clara University.
