Laura Adams, MS, is currently the Manager of Process Science Engineers in MS&T at Genentech, following the integration of Spark Therapeutics in 2025. Previously, Laura held multiple leadership roles at Spark Therapeutics, where they specialized in AAV gene therapy drug substance technologies and managed various continuous improvement projects. With a background in chemical engineering from Cornell University and a master’s degree from Villanova University, Laura has consistently demonstrated expertise in process characterization, technology transfer, and training the next generation of engineers. Their accomplishments include receiving the TAP Award for personal initiative at Shire and leading teams in the production of clinical and commercial therapeutic proteins throughout their career.
