Lin Deng

Lin (Eileen) Deng is an accomplished scientist currently working at Genentech since August 2019 and serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Chicago since June 2016. Deng specializes in C‒C bond activation as a synthetic tool for diverse ring structures, contributing to the synthesis of natural products and pharmaceuticals. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from September 2014 to May 2016, where responsibilities included teaching Organic Chemistry I and lab sessions. Lin Deng earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Chicago in 2019 and has a background in chemistry from Peking University, where studies were completed from 2010 to 2014.
