Luz Orozco

Luz D. Orozco, Ph.D., is a Senior Principal Scientist in Computational Biology at Genentech, where they lead a team focused on target identification and biomarker research in ophthalmology. Luz earned a B.Sc. in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics, followed by a Ph.D. in Human Genetics and postdoctoral training in Bioinformatics, all from UCLA. Their current research integrates genetics, epigenetics, and multi-omics approaches to uncover disease mechanisms.
