Michael Wei is the Group Medical Director at Genentech, where they focus on oncology drug development, clinical trials, cancer metabolism and signaling, and functional genomics. Previously, they served as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University from 2015 to 2022, and their experience includes roles in pediatric hematology/oncology. Michael earned an MD and PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, where they studied the role of pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members. Additionally, they completed their undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Honors Biology at the University of Illinois.
