Richard Ko

Richard Ko is currently the Executive Director and Disease Area Lead for Leukemia/Myeloma in US Medical Affairs at Genentech, a role they have held since 2022. Previously, Richard served as Medical Director and Senior Director for Rare Blood Disorders at Genentech and held an Assistant Professor position in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles from 2010 to 2016. Richard’s academic background includes an MD from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, as well as multiple master's degrees from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Southern California. They also gained early experience as a Clinical Instructor at UCSF between 2006 and 2007.
