Rupal Desai has extensive experience in the field of companion diagnostics and oncology, currently serving as the Principal Companion Diagnostics Development Leader at Genentech since January 2009. Prior roles at Genentech include Senior Companion Diagnostics Project Lead and project leader for both oncology and non-oncology programs. Prior to joining Genentech, Rupal worked at MDS Analytical Technologies as a Senior Scientific Researcher and held various research positions at GenoRx, Incyte Genomics, Genencor International, and Beacon Diagnostics Pvt Ltd. Education includes a Certificate Program in Bioinformatics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and significant coursework towards an M.S. in Molecular Biology at San José State University, as well as a Diploma in Medical Technology and a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from Gujarat University.
