Sarah Utley

Sarah Utley is a Senior Clinical Scientist in Ophthalmology at Genentech, where they apply their extensive expertise in scientific communications and medical strategy. They earned a PhD in Integrative Biology of Diseases from the University of Southern California, focusing on liver cell regulation, and have worked across various fields, including Hepatology and Asthma. Prior to their current role, Sarah held positions as a Senior Scientific Communications Director at Genentech and as a postdoctoral scholar at UCSF, where they investigated critical regulatory mechanisms in developmental biology. Sarah’s educational foundation is further supported by a B.S. in Physiology from UC Santa Barbara.
