Stephen Miller is a Principal Scientist and Group Leader in Peptide Therapeutics at Genentech, where research focuses on the discovery and development of peptides for various therapeutic applications, including tissue regeneration, neurodegenerative diseases, and fibrosis, since November 2020. Previously, Stephen served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute from October 2014 to October 2020, working on the design of cell-penetrating peptides and injectable peptide hydrogels for therapeutic protein administration. Prior experience includes a position as a Research and Teaching Assistant at New York University from June 2007 to August 2014, supporting organic chemistry courses and conducting research. Stephen earned a PhD in Chemistry from New York University in January 2014, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Syracuse University in January 2007.
