Sumanth Putta DVM

Sumanth Putta DVM, MS, PhD, DACLAM, CPIA is the Senior Director of Animal Resources at Genentech, a position held since 2021. They have extensive experience in laboratory animal medicine and research, including roles as Associate Director at the University of Southern California and Director of Veterinary Services at Rutgers University. Their academic credentials include a D.V.M. from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University and a Ph.D. in Diabetes and MicroRNAs from Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences. Additionally, Sumanth contributed to AAALAC International as an ad hoc member since 2015 and completed a residency in Laboratory Animal Medicine at the City of Hope.
