Surag Nair

Surag Nair is a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Genentech, where they tackle challenges in machine learning for genomics. Surag previously interned at UCL, collaborating with Dr. Christophe Dessimoz on optimizing the detection of homologous protein sequences, and also gained experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Apple, focusing on cloud services localization. Surag holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and completed both a Master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Stanford University, where they are currently a PhD candidate.
