Toby Patterson

Toby Patterson is an accomplished medical executive currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs at Genentech since August 2023. Prior to this role, Toby held significant positions at GSK, including Senior Vice President and Head of Global Medical Affairs as well as Senior Vice President of US Medical Affairs from June 2020 to August 2023. Toby's extensive experience at AbbVie from September 2013 to June 2020 encompassed roles such as Vice President of Medical Operations, Vice President of Immunology and Oncology, and Medical Director of Neuroscience. Additionally, Toby worked at GE Healthcare in Medical Affairs as Assistant Medical Director and served as a Physician at South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service from February 2007 to 2009. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Adelaide, along with a BA from William & Mary.
