Vasily Ignatenko

Vasily Ignatenko is a Patent Counsel at Genentech since July 2023, bringing extensive experience in intellectual property law from various positions. Prior to this role, Vasily worked as an Associate, Technology Specialist, and Patent Agent at Fish & Richardson P.C. from October 2014 to July 2023. Earlier experience includes serving as a Patent Analyst in the Chemistry & Materials Group at Global Prior Art from August 2013 to October 2014, and a Ph.D. Graduate Research Assistant at Case Western Reserve University under Dr. Gregory P from August 2008 to July 2013. Vasily also gained research experience as a Summer Research Fellow at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry in the Czech Republic in 2008. Academically, Vasily holds a Doctor of Law degree from Suffolk University Law School and a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University.
