Vic Spain is a retired public health epidemiologist and animal welfare advocate with over 20 years of experience in leading and publishing impactful research in public health and health economics. Currently a Senior Principal Real World Data Scientist at Genentech, Vic previously served as an Outcomes Research Scientist at Merck and as a Bioterrorism and Communicable Disease Epidemiologist for the City of Philadelphia. Vic holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Cornell University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis. In addition to their public health work, Vic is an accomplished cellist, performing with Rhombus and the Cypress Chamber Players.
