Wei Liu

Wei Liu is an accomplished professional in pharmaceutical development with extensive experience at Genentech since 2009. As Director and Head of the Line Extension and Marketed Product Section, Wei leads a team of approximately 20 staff, overseeing formulation development and supporting the lifecycle of various clinical molecules and commercial biological products. Previous roles include Program Director for CMC Regulatory, authoring regulatory submissions, and leading cross-functional teams to develop strategies in multiple regulatory jurisdictions. Wei also has a solid foundation in CMC regulatory processes from a tenure as Senior Product Manager and Senior Engineer, and early career experience includes significant contributions at Amgen Inc. and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, culminating in a PhD in Chemical Engineering.
