William Young is a distinguished Principal Systems Architect with extensive experience in developing modern data infrastructure and services. They have held leadership roles at Genentech, where they architected global Exabyte scale object storage and led teams in delivering large-scale data transfer services. Prior to this, William was the Chief of Technical Computing at The Scripps Research Institute and managed HPC Cluster Platforms at SDSC/UCSD. William holds a PhD in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s Degree from the University at Buffalo.
