Yan Wu is currently a Scientist III in Antibody Engineering at Genentech, where they started in 2023. Previously, they held an internship in Antibody Engineering and completed their PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Stanford University from 2019 to 2025, focusing on engineering bioluminescent indicators for noninvasive studies under the guidance of Dr. Michael Lin. Yan also served as a Teaching Assistant for courses in Computational Protein Modeling Lab and Protein Engineering during their time at Stanford. Additionally, they will be a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco, starting in 2025, working with Dr. Jim Wells. Yan earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tsinghua University from 2015 to 2019.
