Yi Yang

Yi Yang is currently a Senior Principal Scientist at Genentech. They have been with the company since August 2003 and have held various titles such as Senior Scientist, Scientist, and Senior Research Associate. At Genentech, Yi led efforts to improve analytical methods for fatty acid quantitation and host cell protein characterization. Prior to joining Genentech, Yi worked as a Research Associate at Sugen Inc, where they developed automatic peptide mapping for proteomic analysis. Yi holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The University of Kansas, a Master's degree in Biochemistry from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China.
