Yiming Yang

Yiming Yang is a Bioinformatics Software Engineer at Genentech since June 2021, with a prior role as a Computational Scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on cloud-based infrastructure for single-cell genomics data analysis. Previous experiences include roles as a Project Assistant at The University of New Mexico, working on cryptocurrency trade and Bitcoin price analysis, and as a Co-Op Software Engineer at AMD, where GPU shader optimization was a primary focus. Yiming began a research internship at the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, applying SVM models for land use classification. Yiming holds a Master's Degree in Statistics and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from The University of New Mexico, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Technology from Beijing Normal University.
