Samir Assaf is the Chairman of MENA and a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic, as well as the Chairman of the HMEH Board, MENAT, and a Senior Advisor at HSBC. They have previously served as Chairman of Corporate and Institutional Banking at HSBC and as Chief Executive of Global Banking and Markets for nearly a decade. With a background that includes leadership roles at HSBC since 2000 and prior experience at Total, Samir is also a member of the Advisory Board for BeyondNetZero and Co-Chair of the Coalition for Climate Resilient Investment. Samir studied Finance at Sciences Po and currently resides in London after living in France and being born in Lebanon.
