David C. Pace, PhD, MBA, currently serves as Deputy Director at General Atomics since December 2011, with prior roles including Program Manager and Sciences Manager focused on High Energy Laser systems and diagnostic management for fusion energy. Previously, David held two postdoctoral research positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and UC Irvine, concentrating on fusion energy and energetic particle phenomena in tokamak plasmas. David holds an MBA from San Diego State University and a PhD in Physics from UCLA, where David C. also earned a Master of Science in Physics. David's academic foundation began with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of the Pacific.
